Naturopathic Primary Care Medicine

As a naturopathic physician I am trained to offer primary care or (to use the newer term) a “medical home”.  In my general medicine / primary care role, I am able to:

• address acute illnesses (colds, flu, sinus infections, intestinal upset, etc)
• provide yearly physicals
• women’s annual exams / address birth control issues
• prescribe both natural remedies and conventional drug therapies
• Refer patients for imaging and to specialists as needed
• Address or remove:  ear wax, warts, moles, cysts, infections, skin tags, as well as biopsy some suspicious skin lesions

The difference between naturopathic primary care and conventional primary care is the focus on the whole person.  As a naturopathic physician I also have access to many tools and therapies beyond prescription drugs and surgery. 

In my practice my focus is on general adult medicine.  I do not generally treat pediatrics, pre-natal, or geriatrics.
